Meow everyone.
if you are a student at Ryerson University, you are no doubt aware of the upcoming student union elections where a new student union executive is to be elected. However, there are some very strict rules about the person who is in charge of the student union election, that person being referred to the the Chief Returning officer, or CRO. One of the rules that is very clear is that the CRO is to have NO connections of any kind to the student union in question. Well, undercoverkity has found a huge connection and it will be mapped out here in detail. First, lets have a look at the article that first broke the story as sourced from here at :

The above a screen shot of the story. So now, we need to look at the players in this story;
The first person is the obvious, Shelby Kennedy. There is not a great deal of info I found on here but as it is stated, Shelby Kennedy is the sister of a one Kaley Kennedy as seen below.
Kaley Kennedy however, does have a connection to Ryerson University, it student union an former staff within. Kaley Kennedy was also an executive member of the CFS 9 the Canadian Federation of Students out in Halifax were in fact, she was the Chairperson of the CFS out there.
The connection to the Ryerson Student union with her comes via another very significant player who was a former president, and twice vice president of the Ryerson Student Union, Rebecca Rose as pictured on the right of this photograph :
Rebecca Rose was a journalism student at Ryerson University during her many terns as a member of the student union executive. Rebecca rose is also the currant director of outreach for the CFS in Nova. Scotia.
Kaley Kennedy is also seeming very close to some other former very noteworthy members of the Ryerson Student Union. Remember that in the main article, the currant president of the RSU, Rodney Diverlus said he knows ” of a Kale Kennedy. I should think so, since he most certain is very familiar with Rebecca Rose , as the two served together with the RSU previously and the two are still very much in contact and communication with each other.
The next player we need to look at is Denise Hammond. Kaley Kennedy is also close to her :
Denise Hammond is well known to the Ryerson Student Union as not only is she the currant president of CUPE 1281 which represents the RSU unionized persons, but she was also the Director of Outreach and Communications for the RSU until she ” left ” to work for CUPE full time. Here she is as pictured on the right of this image :
When Denise Hammond left the RSU to work full time with CUPE, she was succeeded by a person named Greg Denton as pictured here:
Greg also left the RSU to work for the NDP party in Halifax NS, oddly enough, the same city as his friends and former work mate, Rebecca Rose. I am not drawing any conclusions here but this just seems rather odd that he would simply walk away from a job that pays about sixty five thousand dollars a years, just like that and go to some small town where he is not as well known and simply land a gig with a political party, the same party that the CFS heavily endorses . Sorry, but this does not pass my smell test.
However, when Greg Denton left, he was succeeded by Gilary Massa. Gilary Massa is also known as :
Massa is no stranger to student politics and student unions. She was also a VP at the York Federation of Students:
Massa arrived at Ryerson University and began here career here with CESAR , the Continuing Education Students At Ryerson to get her feet wet here. She then moved over to the RSU when in a very sudden resignation of the former director of Campaigns and Equity, Mr Gareth Henry. She almost tripped over her shoe laces in filling his vacancy.
Now, lets go back for a second to the main story and Massa comment, ” just say no . ” She was , to the best of my knowledge , one of the two persons on the hiring committee that Hired Shelby Kennedy as the new CRO. I am not going to draw any conclusions here as the facts are not all out yet, but once again, the smell test is failing badly.
I do, however, want to go back to Kaley Kennedy for a moment. it is very clear that she is connected to the Ryerson Student Union , either directly or indirectly by virtue of her knowing the people at the very top of the ladder there. However, As with the RSU and who they are connected to , it appears that Kaley Kennedy is also connected to the local Toronto Anarchist community, and she sure goes to the top of the heap there. upon doing my research, I found this :

In one of my recent previous articles, I showed the connection between the RSU and the anarchist community. Denyar, as far I is know, is still a U of T student.
Wait, did I just ay U of T? Yes, yes I did, Some may recall that several years, Ryerson Student Union President Toby Whitfield was caught tearing down posters of the French Club at U of T , during the campaigning for the U of T student Union elections. Here is the video of that incident :

I am asking that all students who care about their student unions , the elections that elect the executive that will supposedly advocate for YOU, to dig deep into who is really who and who they are connected to. It appears that some student unions will try any and every trick in the book to try and get away with what they can. Now for the RSU story. yes, it may well be that there is no real connection between the CRO and the RSU but to me , and in my opinion, something smells really fishy here.
