Meow everyone. Sadly , we are were all witness in one form or another, the the terrorist attacks in France on November 13 2005 where radical muslims attacked and killed innocent citizens in a brazen terrorist attack. This was not the first such attack in France. Terrorists attacked a newspaper there, attacked innocent subway rider in London, flew airplanes  into the heart of New York City, killed service persons on military bases , attacked navy ships, the list is endless. However, while we here in Toronto have our share of terrorists who made this city home, or at least a base of operations, we have been spared the horrors of an actually attack  … FOR NOW .

Our police force with their law enforcement partners have been on top of these radicals, at least enough to either prevent or foil attacks. However, did their luck almost run out ?

TORONTO – Police are still on the hunt for an unspecified number of suspects after several guns, including silencers and religious items were found in a car following a crash in North York Friday morning.

The single vehicle collision happened just before 4 a.m. ET. in the area of Allen Road and Transit Road.

Police said a call for a suspected impaired driver led police to the scene of the crash.

“Officer got there and they were told the car had left the road and hit the curb. When they found the car there was no one in it,” said Toronto police spokesperson Mark Pugash.

Police said the occupants of a black Mercedes fled the scene and members of the emergency task force were called in to provide assistance.

“We had police dogs out, we had the ETF, we borrowed a helicopter from a GTA police service,” Pugash said. “Anytime we find guns, several guns, we take the matter seriously.”

The subsequent investigation led police to the discovery of two handguns, one machine gun, two silencers, small amounts of ammunition and religious items inside the vehicle.

Although police did not reveal the exact nature of the religious items, they don’t believe it is relevant to this case.

“They have made it very clear. They regard this as going to a guns and gang direction and the religious material at this point has no relevance to that,” said Pugash.

Police have not released any description of the suspects and are unclear how many people were in the vehicle at the time of the crash.

The vehicle has since been seized and police said it will be examined for further evidence.

The intersection was closed for the investigation but reopened to traffic just before 6 a.m. ET.

Wait a second. I know what my readers will be asking. One of the stories stated that there was no immediate danger to the public … only small amounts of ammunition was found .

Usually, from numerous past media explanations of these sort of police related activities, the media has no problem stating exactly what  was found. OK, true, the police media officer shares the events and decided what to share and not, however, and my apologies to the Toronto Police Service if it appears that I am jumping to conclusions here …  however, ….. RELIGIOUS BOOKS. this sounds very much like an attempt to minimize or reduce the apprehension many have against muslims rights now , and  if it was indeed a Qoran that was found, and so stated, this could have put the public into a state of possible panic. Secondly, fact is, our main stream media  right now is again cow towing to the radicals so they too would want to minimize the effect it would have if it was indeed a Qoran , and they so stated it .

Next thing that seems very odd here is that since this took place several days ago, there has been no further public information, at least not to my knowledge . I can see this as well, as an attempt to not stir up the public fear  into a panic like state.

The proximity of this event should also be of some note. Yes, while it was early in the morning, this location is a major public transit hub of both surface buses and subway trains . This area is also in very close proximity to one of Torontos very prominent Jewish areas  so this cannot not be ruled out either. Yes, the minimal  amount of ammunition found, or at least claimed to have been g found , plus the finding of drugs could suggest that a possible drugs for ammo trade was potentially in the works by these criminals .

Now let me be the first to say that I admit to arriving at my  postulations sans any hard evidence that actually supports my theory , therefore, my theory is exactly that, a theory, speculation. However, I also don’t think it is  that far of a stretch to arrive at the  theory i arrived at , especially based on the  established facts of terrorists now doing more one wolf styles actions with smaller weapons which are easier to hide and transport. Regardless of whether I am way off base,  or indeed, my theory has a chance of being a reality, my hats to the Toronto Police Service for stopping what huge and obviously deadly crime these weapons would have unleashed upon the citizens of this city
