Your student dollars hard at work

As most of you all know by now, i have focused a great deal of my time to expose student union corruption and incompetence. It never fails to amaze me as to what new levels of incompetence  some student unions and their leaders  will strive to achieve, yet, just when you think they have gone as low as one can get, they yet again surpass even their own stupidity.

I would like to show one case of stupidity that will make ones head spin …  several times. in the latest edition of The Eyeopener, one of the  two newspapers  of Ryerson University, we find our fearless Vice President of FINANCE and operations making the following  statement. behold what he says and keep in mind what his position  is:

Now people, think about this. A person who is elected to be entrusted to the handling of MILLIONS of dollars in student fees, and he has no fucking clue as to how a bank works ?  Hey, dude,  do you tie your own shoes in the morning?  if he would have spent a little more time in the classroom  and a little less time at CFS meetings  accomplishing absolutely NOTHING , he might have read a few text books, or at least one or two chapters of a book on anything related to finance , possibly even on how banks work.

However, not wanting to be  a party pooper, , Mr. Andrew McAllister, here is how banks work . you receive money from source ” a “: , student levies. you put that money into a bank in the hopes it will generate interest. You have expenses that are draw against the monies deposited. If you have more money at the end of the fiscal year that you started with, you have earned what we call profit. Profit is good. if however, at the end of the same fiscal year, you have less that what you had received, you are working with a deficit. in other words, you LOST money. Got it ? there will be an exam on this later.

Now ,  I mentioned that these same Ryerson student union executive members go to these CFS conventions  and accomplish nothing. Well, don’t take my word for it. In fact, the very executive who went there, one who is lives and breaths CFS in fact said so. Here are her words:

ImageNow, on one hand we see an person who has no clue as to how banks works , yet seems to  be in charge of finance, and on the other hand, we see from the mouth of the horse  that these CFS meetings accomplish nothing. My question, and one every single student who is part of the  CFS whether they like it or not is : What the hell are we paying huge sums of money to this organization for ?

OK, so now that it has been shown that the  Currant VP of  finance  is unaware of how banks work, perhaps we can show him exactly who IS on the executive. .

Now , lets have a look at an example of a check  sent out to a student :

As we can clearly see, there is a difference in the names on the check that does not match the names of the executive who actually are supposed to be signing them.  Mr. McAllistar, the  name of Rodeney Diverlus ( one of the signing officers ) and Andrew McAllistar  ( that is you, the other signing officer )  is spelled and pronounced differently than Sean Carson, the FORMER VP of finance , as well, Caitlin Smith, the FORMER  RSU president. It may interest you to know as well that these differences were in place since MAY 1 of this year, 2012 ,  almost six months ago.  Further, it may additionally interest you to know  that when signing officers  are replaced by new ones at the BANK ( remember you are the VP of finance  and supposedly look after student funds ) , old signing officers are no long valid . By the way, that was a free lesson on how banks work , since you did say you don’t know how they work.
