Meow everyone. So we read , hear about , and see all these moronic professional protesters telling us just bad a job the cops are doing. These protesters have seemingly, all the answers . ( don’t they always , somehow ? ) Its no secret that I have a great deal of respect for the work our cops do . I have covered many police events over the years and have seen a fair bit …. but NOTHING compared to what we ask our cops to do every single day . I have never had to enter a crack house with kids who have not been cleaned or fed for day because the parents are on crack . I have never had to investigate a murder, robbery, or other crime, I have never had to clean up after a person who jumped in front of a subway train. I have had to inform a family member of a loved one about the passing of a family member … not the highlight of any day . So, the next time you want to open your big mouths , trying to tell us how you hate the cops , how you think you can do a better job , how you put your life at risk for OUR safety, Maybe you should read this first and then, see if you really have what it takes to be a cop :
15 things cops wish the public knew about policing
You don’t understand police work
May 18, 2016
A question posted recently on Quora asked, “What do police officers wish the general public knew?” Retired Officer and PoliceOne ColumnistTim Dees gave his opinion on the topic, below. Check it out and add your thoughts in the comments.
1. Use of force isn’t pretty. People have been conditioned by TV to believe that a properly trained police officer of any size can take down a person of superior size and strength, quickly, almost effortlessly, without the use of weapons, and without any injury to either party. This is not true. Few cops are expert martial artists. The defensive tactics training they receive is fairly perfunctory. Struggles often result in injured joints, lacerations, concussions, and other injuries to both parties. There is lots of cursing and screaming involved. The cops usually win, but only because they can get enough cops on the scene to overwhelm the adversary.
2. Most cops never shoot anyone.Very few cops will fire their sidearms outside of the pistol range at some time in their career (more if the cop works in a rural area where having to “dispatch” wounded animals is common). Some might go months without taking the gun out of the holster.
3. Cops will go to extremes to avoid shooting people. My personal experience is that, about once a month, I would encounter a situation where I would have been legally justified in shooting someone. I did that only once, so all the other times, I found some other way of resolving the situation. Casual research tells me my experience is not unique. Most cops have ample opportunities to shoot people, but they choose not to do so.
4. The people at the top often don’t have a lot of practical experience. There are exceptions, but most cops who become chiefs, sheriffs, or other high-ranking officers spend most of their career paving the path to promotion. They spend a brief time as working cops, then transfer to a non-enforcement job, where they stay until they get their first promotion. They never truly understand the job, and the cops they oversee don’t identify with the brass, or the brass with the cops.
5. PTSD is real and commonplace.A cop may have a bad time after he’s involved in a shooting, but the traumatic incident could just as well be a nasty car crash, a fight, or a rescue that didn’t end well. Anyone who can say truthfully that they are never bothered by such things is probably a sociopath. Cops who seek mental health treatment are often viewed suspiciously by their superiors. Those guys didn’t spend enough time on the street to experience anything that bothered them, and they believe that anyone who is bothered is probably unstable.
6. There is lots of stress, but not the kind you might think. Most of the stress comes from the police station, not the street. Law enforcement agencies are extremely political. Who likes you or who you’re friends or relatives with has a lot more to do with the progress of your career than how good you are at your job. “Management by intimidation” is a common technique. From a human resources perspective, law enforcement agencies are horrible places to work.
7. There aren’t all that many bigots. There are some, of course—in a cohort of close to a million people, some of them will be biased. You can get fired for expressing those feelings, so they tend not to last long. Most cops don’t especially care what color you are, what religion you practice, what country your ancestors came from, how much money you have, or what your sexual orientation is. Cops see every kind of person, often at the worst moments of their lives. They know there are good and bad people in every category. They do have a strong bias against jerks, so don’t be one of those.
8. Some of our brother (and sister) officers embarrass us. With the possible exception of field training officers, cops don’t have a lot of input to who gets hired and who is retained on their agency. Everyone knows somebody (probably several somebodys) who is reckless, immature, lazy, dishonest, or just dumb. When these people are allowed to keep being cops, it’s usually because they are politically connected, and reporting them for a transgression will almost always backfire on you.
9. Your “my favorite police encounter” story is not unique. On learning someone is a police officer, most people will immediately relate their most memorable contact with the police. It’s usually a traffic stop, as that’s how most people encounter the police. Your new friend will smile and nod politely, but he’s silently waiting for it to be over. It’s nothing he hasn’t heard before.
10. There are few universal rules or policies.I have lost count of how many questions I have seen on Quora along the lines of “how much over the speed limit can I go before I’ll get stopped” and “what do I say to get out of getting a ticket.” People want to believe there is some industry-wide practice they can exploit to aid them in violating the law. There are over 800,000 law enforcement officers in the United States, and each one of them is a unique person. Their employers seldom impose a formal policy of allowing drivers to exceed the limit by X miles per hour. This is most often left up to the individual.
11. It’s seldom personal. Few cops start their day looking for a particular person, or even a particular class of people to stop. Cops see violations of the law and suspicious circumstances, and they are encouraged by their employers to intervene. If you got a ticket or got arrested, it’s probably because you broke the law, not because the cop didn’t like you or you are a member of some targeted group. If this happens to you a lot, you might want to stop blaming the variables and consider the constant instead.
12. Becoming a cop is harder than you think. Some agencies have to collect over 100 applications to get one viable hire. Some of those hires won’t make it through the police academy. Some who do won’t complete field training. About half of new hires leave law enforcement within five years. Mainly because of anti-police sentiment, it’s more difficult to recruit new cops than ever before. You might want to think that people become cops because they’re too stupid or lazy for real jobs, but you’re fooling yourself. Chances are, you couldn’t make the grade.
13. Television does not represent law enforcement accurately. Most of what most people know about cops is from watching television. This is why people believe that every arrest must be immediately followed by a Miranda warning, that there is a team of FBI agents who fly to crime scenes in an executive jet and solve the case within days, that detectives in one major PD can move to another, distant major PD and instantly resume being detectives, that crime scene investigators collect evidence, identify the suspects, interrogate the suspects, and make the arrests (no one seems to care what the detectives are doing), and that cops who are involved in shootings are back at work the next day.
14. We wish you would stop telling your children we will arrest them if they aren’t good. The day may come, God forbid, that your child is separated from you and doesn’t know where to turn. You’ll probably call the police if this happens. Do you want your child to look for a police officer to help him, or hide from the police because he is afraid he will go to jail?
15. You don’t understand police work. This applies even if your father, mother, sibling, or next-door-neighbor was a cop. Until you have actually done the job for a few years, you will never understand what it’s actually like.

Meow everyone. Yes, you read this correctly, we did have an islamic terrorist attack in Toronto, but judging from the main stream media, you would never know it . Main stream media refuses to call this what it really was , a terrorist attack . Why was it an islamic terrorist attack ? According to Toronto Police Chief Mark Saunders , as he stated in a news conference I attended and shot video of, the terrorist proclaimed that his pedophile prophet god allah told him to go and kill people. Here is the unedited video I shot of the news conference :
So, why is the Chief of Police not willing to make the big call and call it a terrorist attack ? In fairness to the chief, there are several reasons for this . The first of course being that this investigation is still VERY NEW and no where near all the facts are available. I understand the Chiefs cautiousness . The second reason that the Chief would not want to call it a terrorist attack is so as not to cause a city wide panic situation. lets be fair here. Toronto has not, until now, been attacked, although we most certainly do have a significant number of terrorist cells that have been discovered here, as well as Toronto being to home of convicted murdering international terrorist Omar Kahdr . The third logical reason for the Chief to not outright call this a terrorist attack, at least not yet , could be to avoid giving the terrorist / terrorist cells / terrorist organizations, the publicity they crave , and subsequently claim responsibility for enacting.
The Chief may be treading cautiously , however, i am calling it exactly what it is / was … a terrorist attack enacted my an islamic sack of shit .Below is what this sack of shit looks like :
Of all the nedia coverage there was around a ” stabbing ” in the area of Yonge and Sheppard, near wear this recruiting office is located , the only main stream media outlet that was willing to call it what it was was CityNews Toronto.
There has been a significant change to the method to which terrorists now operate . The old day would see very large scale actions, cause massive damage , death and destruction. Those large scale actions, while huge and having long lasting effects had their own serious side effects . The risk of getting caught was high, even before these acts were carried out, simply because of the number of people involved, and the ability for our global intelligence services to get information and thwart such massive attacks. While not always successful, many large scale attacks were stopped as a result of good intelligence. These pathetic scum bag terrorists needed to continue to enact their brand of hate somehow, so, much smaller, lone wolf styled attacks started to grow in popularity. Lone wolf attacks are far more difficult to stop, because often times, there are not real trails to latch onto , from an intelligence gathering point of view. A single person can travel virtually undetected , sometimes right under the noses of those intelligence agencies , as opposed to large scale movements which attract attention.
The type of attacks we here in Canada have had so far , have targets of Military members serving in uniform. In this first act of terrorism directed at our uniformed service personal , ” … The Canadian soldier who died a day after being run down by a suspected homegrown terrorist has been identified as 53-year-old Warrant Officer Patrice Vincent. … ” In the second act of terrorism which once again targeted our uniformed military service personnel, , ” … The soldier who was killed was identified as Cpl. Nathan Cirillo, according to his aunt. Cpl. Cirillo, who was a member of the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders, a regiment of Reserve Forces based in Hamilton, was training to join the Canada Border Services Agency … “
The act of terrorism that took place on Monday March 14, 2016 was in the exact same recruiting office where I , many years ago applied to and became a proud member of the Canadian Forces. This recruiting office was my first home in the military and hold a special place within me. My time in the military was filled with learning things like DUTY , HONOR , RESPECT , RESPONSIBILITY . My days as a member of the military may be over now but my commitment to my country m my sense of duty, my sense of national pride are as strong today as they were the day i signed on the dotted line. My duty to my country did not come with an expiration date and if I were to called to duty, i would be going in a heart beat, to what ever assignment my country needs me in…. ANYWHERE . I owe my sense of duty to a great, personal friend of mine who lead me by example , a Police Officer from 52 division , ( he literally just retired ) Thank you Officer Dave R. for leading us by your example, never preaching about right or wrong, , instead, showing us through sports and community involvement the virtues of duty and respect.
It is about time that the main stream media stop cow towing to these islamic nut cases , and call a terrorist attack , exactly what it is, and by whom. We are not interested in being politically correct any more , we don’t give a rats ass about so called diversity and we loath the favoritism the media plays to these groups while vilifying others that are not on the ” flavor of the month list ” . If mainstream media really cared about the REAL news, they would stop pandering to their corporate sponsors and instead, report the NEWS as it is , as its happening. Sadly, however, today, media agencies are noting more than glorified advertising agencies, who report to the highest bidder. Sadly, in the process, the totally disregard and ignore clear and obvious facts . I think that mainstream media as we know it is going to , in the not too distant future, either going to have to re-invent themselves to regain what credibility they once had, or, and this is the more likely scenario, independant media will be the true , real voice that the listen to.
Many many years ago, the CBC sent their lead reporters to ” finishing schools ” , to, as part of their need for better ratings, give them British accents. This done because at the time, it was believed that the public was more likely to ” trust ” a reporter with a British accent. Yes, even back then, the media was trying to control the viewer. My message to mainstream media, if you want my trust, if you want the trust of the public, do your jobs and report the FACTS as they are , NOT the BS ” party line ” your political affiliations want you to shill for them. To those in, independant media, you also have a responsibility . You need to call out these main stream outlets when they clearly and obviously with hold or distort the facts for their own agendas.
Dear Mr. Prime Minister . while you have very recently stated that it was your intention to discontinue bombing terrorist sites, may I , respectfully direct your attention to this ” music video ” which glorifies that very acts you have decided to no longer fight against . Please sir, reconsider your statement and impact your decision will have on the rest of the world , and CANADA .
Meow everyone. If you are concerned about YOUR rights to free speech , I VERY STRONGLY encourage you all to read this series from my good friend at https://kitty.protestnerd.com . This is so important that I have to share all the links from Greg here as well as his own site .
I am working on a story now, a continuation on my ongoing series, but this time, I am going to be focusing on our own eco terrorists like Vanessa Grey and some others who are knowingly, willingly and intentionally putting lives, possibly YOUR lives at serious risk . Stay tuned, story should be out in about a week or so.
St. Michael’s Hospital launches first Syrian refugee clinichttp://www.cbc.ca/1.3383439but Canadians are on huge waiting lists for health care .
Fries my ass to see that we have people living in places with no clean water, no heat or hydro , holes in their floors and so forth, all because the government seemingly has no money to fix these long lasting problems, problems that many have been living with for decades , or even life long . YET, miraculously , and in short order, the same government just happened to ” find ” 2 billion dollars to bring in 25-50,000 so called refugees, many of them who will turn out to be terrorists. These so called refugees, will get free housing , where none seemed to exist for everyone else, free, medical and dental care, when others cant even afford to take a public transit bus trip to see a dr. or dentist, free education , they will get $2400.00 a month for EACH one who arrives here . To top that off, as one who wore a uniform in the service of my country, I had to go through six months of security screening to make sure I was not some deranged nut case . These so called ” refugees ” are seemingly screened at the airport upon arrival in 20 minutes , many of them coming in with zero documents. Fuck that bullshit. What ever happened to looking after our own people FIRST …. Too may have been on waiting lists for decades , or even life times, yet these so called ” refugees” get to jump to the very front of the line, even though they have contributed absolutely NOTHING to the betterment of this country. Something is VERY WRONG with that .
What about our own senior citizens . They are forced to make due on $1050.00 per month old age pensions, but we, some how ” found ” money to bring in a bunch of fucking terrorists who get more than twice that amount just to come here , and have everything HANDED to them … EACH . What about our military veterans who put their lives on line for queen and country? what do they get? FUCK ALL . The government claims to have no money for US but has billions to throw at ” refugees ” who will of course vote for them … with their phony passports and phony ID’s …… I love my country , I wore a uniform to defend it, and if called upon to do so again, I would go in a heart beat because to me , my commitment and loyalty to my country did not expire when my military service came to an end . However, as a former member of the military, I do still have to right to question my governments commitment to the people of Canada. do bad my leaders do not seem to have the same approach to commitment and duty to their country , THIS country , and its own citizens , as I do .
So, the next time you are downtown and come across a person sleeping on the streets as shown below, you can comfort in knowing that this person is considered to be of no value to Canadians , has no right to housing, food , anything like that , but we must welcome with open arms, terrorists who are flown here, given every comfort this guy is dying to have ( literally ) . Who is going to tel this guy that he must wait a few more decades to have a simple roof over his head while a bunch of so called ” refugees ” get to jump to the very front of the line and have it all handed to them …. and they haven’t contributed one second of their lives to the betterment of Canada . This is not about the government caring about these so called ” refugees ” , its about buying future votes , plain and simple .
So, now, we have s called ” refugees ” even getting preferential health care, while most of us have to wait months, or even years to receive proper health care.
In the wake of Paris, University of Toronto’s radical fanatics will gather Wednesday to support terrorists
With the carnage branded freshly onto our memories and the blood not yet all washed away from this week’s monstrous Paris terrorist attacks, you might imagine that a gathering in Canada to celebrate terrorists who committed similar atrocities would seem somewhat ill-timed.
Evidently, the University of Toronto Student Union’s “Social Justice and Equity Commission” disagrees with that premise.
In what might be a fertile recruiting ground for al Qaeda, this Wednesday, November 18, at University College, a radical subset of students, along with U of Toronto extremists calling themselves, “Students Against Israeli Apartheid,” are effectively having a solidarity with terrorists meeting.
Let’s leave aside for the moment the warped lie of characterizing the only country in the middle east that has free speech, respects gay rights, and enshrines enfranchisement for all its citizens regardless of race, gender, or religion as “apartheid,” though their libel is an insult to common sense.
Even more of an insult, with the echoes still ringing from the merciless mass-murders in Paris perpetrated by ISIS, is the paean to terrorism implied by the U of Toronto gathering.
The current Palestinian “rising-up” to which these student fanatics refer is, on a one-by-one, day-by-day basis, every bit as horrific, bloodthirsty, and inhuman as the Paris attacks were en mass.
Egged on by their corrupt, racist leadership that depicts Jews as “apes and pigs,” Palestinians have embarked on a new wave of brutal terror stabbing attacks against Israelis, making no distinction between civilian and soldier, child or adult, man or woman, young or old.
In case there’s any confusion over whether some of the “Solidarity with Palestine” meeting’s organizers are opposed to the lethal terrorism used by ISIS in Paris, on their “Israeli Apartheid Week- Toronto” facebook page, they make their sympathies abundantly clear. On that page, they honor one Khalil al-Wazir, a.k.a. “Abu Jihad,” as a martyr. The Toronto group’s laudatory post calls al-Wazir a “hero, a founding and central member of the Palestinian Revolution, who planned many operations against the Occupation and whose leadership helped keep together the thread of Palestinian unity during his lifetime. “
What were al Wazir’s “operations” with which the University of Toronto’s “Students Against Israeli Apartheid” and “Coalition Against Israeli Apartheid” are so enamored? Khalil al-Wazir masterminded the 1978 Coastal Road Massacre, in which a civilian bus was hijacked and 38 innocent people, including 13 children, were slaughtered by Palestinian terrorists.
When we talk about the need to counter extremism and the need to de-radicalize vulnerable, impressionable youth, a lot of focus is placed on mosques and the Internet. But the other side of that equation is that most Canadian Muslims are peaceful and appalled by terrorism, and indeed the majority of terror plots in Canada have been foiled in part due to cooperation from upstanding Canadian Muslims.
However we also seem to be working at cross-purposes with our publicly funded universities, where there are factions that take an entirely different view of terror than that held by the rest of the civilized world.
As the author of this blog, I wish to send my deepest condolences to the people of France who have again endured yet another terrorist attack by radical Islamic terrorists .
To my own government, I ask, when are we going to stop cow towing to these Islamic nut jobs and kick the the hell out of this country, MY country, the country I wore a uniform for to serve and protect from exactly these type of scum bags? During my time in the military, it was my sworn duty to protect Canada from those who want to do harm to the country and its people. My duty and loyalty to my country did not end when my military service did. Duty and loyalty does not come with an expiration date and is a life long commitment. ……..
I may be old , ugly, short and fat and I want to help . How can I best serve my country today ?
Meow everyone. I my last article, I introduced you all to some methods used to radicalize the young, at an early age to certain doctrines and ideologies which are consistent with today’s brand of terrorism . Universities and in particular , radical student unions and organizations play a very significant role in targeting and training these future troublemakers . For those who have been following my blog over the many years, you will have known me to make many references to the Canadian Federation of Students , or CFS for short. in this article, I will show you how they are directly involved in the radicalization process , and who is doing the radicalizing, and how.
The radicalization begins with the first second on the campus of a CFS affiliated university . The target group are primarily first year students . The target group within this small group are students in either journalism or social work programs. These students within these area of studies have ready make , well trained , seasoned radicals already well i place to mentor these new recruits . There are well healed third and forth year students there in place to guide the new students along, as well, these programes, have some of most radicalized professors to teach these new students the ropes . Ryerson University has a plethora of these highly radical professors to pick from.
Winni Ng is a ” … Labour rights activist and scholar Winnie Ng has joined Ryerson University as the CAW-Sam Gindin Chair in Social Justice and Democracy. The CAW-Sam Gindin Chair in Social Justice and Democracy is the first union-endowed chair at a Canadian university. In her role, Ng will build upon the work of inaugural chair Judy Rebick, a well-known journalist, author and activist who was first appointed in 2002. The chair’s mandate is to create a hub of interaction between social justice activists and academics at Ryerson. Ng holds a MA and PhD from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto. Her doctoral studies focused on re-imagining the labour movement from an anti-racism perspective. … “ ( sourced from http://www.ryerson.ca/socialjustice/about/Winnie_Ng )
While people such as Ng would most certainly not risk their well paid careers and union backing to personal engage in violent actions, the have no trouble giving speeches endorsing such actions and in some cases, even endorsing certain high profile domestic terrorists . ( more on that shortly )
Judy Rebick was ” … the CAW-Sam Gindin Chair in Social Justice and Democracy at Ryerson University in Toronto. Judy was the founding publisher of rabble.ca, Canada’s most popular progressive online publication. She is the author of several books, the most recent of which is Transforming Power: From the Personal to the Political. You can visit her website to read her blog and learn more about the book. Judy also wrote Ten Thousand Roses: The Making of a Feminist Revolution during her time at Ryerson. Judy also co-hosts Reel Women, a movie review podcast on the rabble podcast network.
For most the 1990s, Judy was the host of a national TV show on CBC Newsworld. Previously, she was president of the National Action Committee on the Status of Women, Canada’s largest women’s group.
Since she started in August 2002, Judy has initiated and participated in many projects, including:
Gathering of Mother Earth Protectors, a three-day sleepover at Queen’s Park in June, 2008, organized with the communities of K.I. First Nation, Ardoch First Nation, Grassy Narrows First Nation, as well as a broad cross-section of local, national, and international social justice and environmental groups. This event raised awareness among Ontario politicians, media, and public about the rights of First Nations communities to protect their land from corporations who wish to extract their natural resources, and to protest the jailing of members of these communities who blocked these corporations from their lands.
The Anti-Racism Taskforce at Ryerson University
The Toronto Social Forum, which started with a large social forum event in 2003, and continued to bring together the broader social justice community across Toronto afterwards through a large e-mail list for activist event announcements across Toronto, and by holding various report-back events with Torontonians who have visited international social forums over the years. In January of 2008, the Gindin Chair brought together many activist groups across the city for a “decentralized” World Social Forum event in Toronto here at Ryerson called “Another World is Possible: Cultures of Resistance”.
An international conference, “Building Power: Social and Political Transformations in Latin America” at Ryerson in April of 2007, with activists from all over Latin America sharing their experience at building new paths to equality and social justice with Canadian activists in a North-South dialogue.
A lecture series in October 2002 with a talk by well-known British author, political commentator and editor of Red Pepper, Hilary Wainwright on Participatory Democracy.
The Gindin Debates with a debate on copywright and the Internet in October, 2002. The debate was webcast on rabble.ca. These were debates among progressives designed to explore an issue, defining differences, but also seeking common ground…. ” ( sourced from : http://www.ryerson.ca/socialjustice/about/judy_rebick )
I mentioned above how certain so called ” activists ” , well paid , well people with the university systems actually open endorse domestic terrorists. Rebbick is , in my opinion just such a person . She had, as a guest speaker in one of her ” lectures ” a well known and highly dangerous domestic terrorist, Alex Hundert , someone who, at the time was legally forbidden to to speak at, or even attend gatherings were other like minded people would attend. Rebbick is nothing more than a loud mouthed , foul mouthed blow hart who has done nothing for decades , but uses her position and past reputation ( from decades past ) to inspire future generations to be the same blow hart neanderthal she has become. The thought of someone actually looking up to her is a sad sight in of itself .
Here is a video Of Rebbiks event at which Hundert , a convicted felon was speaking, against court ordered bail conditions :
This brazen act of openly flaunting a legal order showed the assembled that is was perfectly fine to break laws . This is a tool used by these so called ” social justice warriors ” as they call themselves to recruit new bodies into the fold. These highly dangerous criminals are placed on pedestals for the new, unsuspecting minds to soak in every word spoken. However, even before these events, the new student gets exposed , in very low keyed ways , to the ways of the radicals that openly target the new students.
Pamela Palmater is ” … a Mi’kmaq lawyer whose family originates from the Eel River Bar First Nation in northern New Brunswick. She is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Politics and Public Administration at Ryerson University. In addition to her faculty appointment as an Associate Professor in the Department of Politics and Public Administration, Dr. Palmater holds the Chair in Indigenous Governance, and is also a member of the Yeates School of Graduate Studies, affiliated with the MA program in Public Policy and Administration…. “ She has been referred to as one who was a ” … trailblazing role model for young Indigenous women, planting seeds of change that are transforming Indigenous communities across Canada … “ ( sourced from : http://www.ryerson.ca/politics/about-us/personnel/faculty/palmater-pamela.html )
The above three depicted individuals obviously do not personally enact violence themselves , but they certainly do know the ones who do . We have already shown how Judy Rebick promoted and and even supported violent and convicted anarchists such as Alex Hundert , regardless of what legal orders were in place on him. Palmater supported to goons who burned police cars in New Brunswick , and Winnie Hg supports violent unions …. all three are : socialists ( communists ) What makes them dangerous is that they are in a position where they use academia to give an aura of legitimacy to what they believe in / their brand of so called activism . They use this to slowly shape young unsuspecting minds early on as to what is , in THEIR view, legitimate . They can teach hate , without calling it hate . They can teach how to avoid those who ask the ” wrong ” questions and thus, label them as ” troublemakers to the cause ” . Judy Rebick and Winnie Ng by their support for the occupy Toronto movement did a masterful job at this by their support for a totally illegal action and lending her name as a high profile supporter.
York university has its very own high profile supporter of the most violent of organization, OCAP . In fact she is not only an organizer with them, she is also married to another even higher profile organizer . I am referring to York University sociology professor Lesley Wood .
Lesley Wood ( above is the partner of the highly radicalized OCAP and No One is Illegal organizer MacDonald Scott ( below ) . Scott is a huge supporter of violence and is a highly respected anarchist within that community.
Orientation week at CFS affiliated universities has NOTHING to do with orienting the student to the university. It DOES, however, have everything to do with the well placed radicals who run the student unions, to bring these new students ” into the fold ” . These new students are, in many cases, away from home for the first time ever, are looking to make new friends and to find a way to fit in. Along comes the radical student union, and their leaders . who offer these new unsuspecting students exactly what they are looking for. Within this orientation week of activities, is a week dedicated to DIS-orientation . this is a stand alone week just for radicals , and radicals in the making. This is a week where the radical campus groups are introduced to the students, with high emphasis placed on supporting these groups. Withing these groups are organizations such as anarchist groups and of course OCAP . For those who need a reminder of what OCAP is about , here are some videos that show case the level of urban terrorism they openly advocate and engage in :
It goes downhill from here . This next video, while shot outside Canada, shows clearly what these so called ” social justice warriors ” are actively, openly advocating .
I have posted this video here to show exactly what is really being supported by the radical student unions . Of late ( meaning , over the past few years ) , there has been an even increasing , and escalating series of attacks against Israel , however, these attacks where also attacks of Jewish students here, through various protests and actions.
The issue around Israel may be polarizing, but one thing is very clear. Israel has the right to defend herself in the face of blatant terrorist attacks against the Jewish people there, daily . The video I posted above shows clearly how random these anti Jewish attacks are , as well, are directed at anyone who is Jewish. Here is an example of an incident that took place in 2009 at the University of Toronto, another very pro CFS run student union : ( sourced from : http://thentherewaslight.com/547_statemen-student-assaulted-at-u-of-t )
A few people have asked me this morning about what happened last night at UofT. I attended the Israel Apartheid Week event with a few friends and was prepared to ask a couple questions. The girl sitting next to me asked a question to one of the speakers about the problems with Hamas’s Charter. The speaker answered the question by discussing occupation and Israel’s “racist” policies, etc, instead of actually addressing the issue of Hamas’s Charter and denial of Israel’s right to exist. A couple people in the crowd, including myself, shouted out to the speaker “answer the question!” (It is generally fair game at these events where there are more activists present than observers to request that the speaker focus on the question asked). At this point, one of the (probably unlicensed) private security guards hired by SAIA approached me from behind. When I turned around in my seat to look at him, he grabbed and squeezed the back of my neck and growled at me from about 10 inches in front of my face “you shut the fuck up! shut the fuck up!” At this point I kept my cool moved back and I was like “get away from me bro, don’t touch me!” One of the event organizers called for someone to ask the police standing outside in the hallway to come in to remove me for “causing a disruption” at which point I encouraged the police to come in to record the name and identity of the individual who assaulted me. I left the room promptly and reported the incident to the police. I will be filing a formal report later today with Metro Police.
I personally believe in freedom of speech and that students should be allowed to book lecture halls to present speakers who express radical, even extreme views. The presence, however, of (probably) unlicensed, private security gaurds wearing bullet proof vests and leather jackets who physicaly assault people who speak up against those radical, extreme views, must be confronted. SAIA must not be allowed to bring hired goons onto campus to intimidate people who oppose their views. I feel ashamed as a UofT alumnus.
Tonight at the U of T [Israeli Apartheid Week] event,
two Jewish students were assaulted by the Palestinian “Security” team
for being “disruptive” (asking a legitimate question “does Israel have
a right to exist”) The Palestinian “security” smacked a student in the
head and grabbed him by his neck, while another “security” officer told
a second Jewish student to “Shut the F**ck up or he’ll saw his head
off”…All of this was done in a crowded lecture room with over 100
witnesses!!
I was there, there are no pictures, filming and taking pictures was prohibited (they seem to have a problem with the general public hearing what they say) it was reported to the police who chose (as usual) to do NOTHING…
Atlas has the full story from a courageous student who was there. Here are some images from last night. I will not run the name of the student reporter. I don’t want them to get their skull cracked by the adherents of the religion of peace.
While last night had higher profile anti-Zionists and anti-Semites, what with Naomi Klein and Sid Ryan, tonight had greater righteous indignation of the “oppressed Fakestinians”.
Notably, with Jews visible in the audience, the audience was repeatedly told from the dias that no photography or recording of any type was allowed by anyone without “media clearance”.
On a number of occasions organizers tried to force me to depart with my camera, though I had not taken even one shot. i told them that when everyone with a cell-phone leaves or gives up their phone i will give up my camera too.
Later, during questions, organizers, ” security”, surrounded the area where visible Jews were seated. A Jew asked a question: “Is Hamas’s charter racist “? That question then become the focus of vitriole, the “security” closed in around the Jews, security then started to push the Jews, then the dias demanded that the Jew leave the room. The Jew replied out loud that he would not depart unless told to do so by the Police. They came in from the lobby, and that ensued.
While this went on, I pulled out my camera and started to shoot. All manner of people closed in around me, and tried to obscure my lens. I got a few shots, and left for the lobby to catch the newly-evicted Jews’ fate. Organizers were demanding my photos, and my name. They got neither, though it will be next to impossible to be anonymous tomorrow.
For my efforts, a Police Sergeant came up to me and pushed me out the front doors using his chest and flack-jacket against my chest. I asked him why i was being pushed out the doors and he said that. “you know why”. Why? Because I look Jewish? Because I was photographing the altercation started by the islamo-fascists? OR, because he is brown ? Oh, but I can’t make that silly, facetious, suggestion, all while being profiled myself ……….
As for the speakers: a communist Ryerson sociology prof; a racist, hijab-wrapped, student VP of YFS ( York Federation of Students ), who should likely better spend her time fighting female circumcision and misogyny in her own ethnic community; a U of T student who’s family was from Haifa, and who’s father was the student president at Bir Zeit in the 80’s and was imprisoned; a Mohawk student espousing common objectives with supporters of Hamas ………………
We had representation with flags and bodies outdoors, and kudos to all those to came out.
Tomorrow will be worse at York.
We see here a clear pattern where the radicalization of students comes from several areas. we are seeing high profile people involved who are directly involved with students as professors . However, there is an even greater, more sinister group that directs these unsuspecting students into a life that started out as average and ordinary , but in the right setting and atmosphere, is quickly, methodically , cleverly molded into one were soon, the student is totally encapsulated with radicalism that nothing else matters. This is done by the heads of radical student organizations and the CFS , who, for the most part, lurk in the shadows , surfacing when they need bodies to voice THEIR cause.
A very clear example of the power student leaders have , RADICAL student leaders , is an event that took place in 2009 at York University . An anti Israel riot broke out lead by one of the then heads of the York Federation of Students, a very PRO CFS organization . The quote below are sourced from here at : http://www.cjnews.com/living-jewish/jewish-learning/jewish-students-siege-york-u
” …While anti-Israel protested called on York President Mamdouh Shoukri to cut academic ties with Israel, pro-Israel students tried to “drown out the hate with peace…” ” … Within the past two weeks, a Jewish student at York received a death threat against him and his family, while another Jewish student was allegedly assaulted by a member of an anti-Israel campus group. In two other incidents, a mob chanting anti-Semitic and anti-Zionist slurs trapped Jewish students inside the campus Hillel lounge, and an anti-Israel rally was held in Vari Hall rotunda. … ”
” … Jewish students are tired of being bullied by anti-Israel groups that intimidate people who don’t support them, and they responded by staging a counter-protest that attracted nearly 200 students. … ”
” … Students Against Israel Apartheid were there with their crew, the Tamil Tigers were there with their whole crew and Krisna Saravanamuttu, the YFS’ vice-president of equity, was there as well … ”
” …Among the slurs shouted by the mob were “Die Jew,” “Get the hell off campus,” “Go back to Israel,” and “F—ing Jew,” Hillel said in a statement. Michael Payton, a York student who witnessed the incident, posted a note on Facebook saying that he saw the YFS’ Saravanamuttu leading the mob. … “
So, just who exactly is Krisna Saravanamuttu ? At that time, he was an executive with the YFS and is not a full time staffer at the CFS .
At an unrelated Sri Lanken protest rally at Queens Park some months later , he re-affirmed his ” FULL SUPPORT : of the Tamil Tigers , another internationally recognized terrorist organization …. saying this as a representative of university students in Ontario who are members of the CFS .
So far , I have only touched upon some of the key players , however, there are many others. In part 3, I will continue this by showing what other university student union leaders have bee up to and what they either promote or support. As always, names and faces will be shown .
Meow everyone. My readers who know me , do so,knowing me as one who is about as anti- anarchist as one can be . I firmly believe in law and order , I firmly believe that there is a need for authority and believe firmly , that anarchy is indeed a fast track to ruin . However, today, I want to talk about a man , a legend in the anarchist community who has departed us rather suddenly . While this story is not about anarchy, in the case of the person in question, those who knew him, knew that there was no separation between man and the anarchy in this man . Todays story is about the passing, and my personal reflections of Joel ( Joey ) Bokhaut .
Joey has departed to another place early Sept of this year . There is some questions around his death which may never be answered , at least not publicly . On or about Sept 05, 2015 Joey climbed a 200 foot grain elevator tower and some reason, either jumped or fell into the river below . A jump or fall into water at that height is like hitting concrete. Survival is not likely. Sadly, Joey did not survive this jump.
After reading only this little bit so far, those within the anarchist community who do know me, and do read this blog, may be shaking their heads here in disbelief that I sad sadly . Over the past several years, I have gotten to know Joey reasonably well. In fact, we had several good , quality , respectful conversations . While certainly we were not friends , I believe that we shared a mutual respect for each other. Joey and I did share four traits. The first one was that we held strongly to what we believed . Secondly, we were both a ” go big or go home ” type of person. Thirdly, we were both highly driven, to the point that once were set out to do something, it was going to get done . Honesty was the forth trait.
Joey was an anarchists anarchist . He was highly respected within his community and what he said was taken seriously and usually adhered to . I recall one time, some years ago, when Joey was still living in the famous anarchist house at 311 George street, he actually invited me to the house. I declined , out of respect, as clearly , while he did indicate that he would have to speak with the others first, however, his words had weight, my declining was actually out of respect for the fact that I knew the other occupants of the house , also anarchists, most of whom I had come across many time times, would most certainly be highly uncomfortable with that idea. I told that to Joey and he was highly appreciative my willingness and desire to respect that feelings of the others. On the streets as a street action photographer, one who covers this group closely, we have always been adversaries . While I never took this adversarial approach personally ( with one exception ) I knew that others did.
Joey was always a ” go big or go home ” type of person. Everything he did, he did large . I recall during the eviction of Occupy Toronto , Joey was the one, the ONLY one who stood up on top of the library tent as a last symbol of not willing to give it up freely . It would get him arrested, but it was something he felt he had to do, so he did it.
The above images also speak to his drive to do what he set out to do. However, Joey had another side to him that not many knew. I recall , one day, at city hall, seeing him and a young lady in his company, I asked him if there was any objection to me taking their photograph . Both accepted. Tish Devoney did something with Joey that in the years I have known him, have never seen in him. She seemed to have this ability to channel his energy , to better focus it. I am not sure I can accurately describe this , however, Joey appeared less angry , more focused than I had seem in him . I recall Joey mentioning to me that he had a bit of savings and wanted to buy a small bit of land to settle down. While on the surface , this did not appear or sound like the Joey I had come to know, this was certainly in line , however, with what i observed as an effect that Tish had on him. I dont know what, if anything ever materialized out of this desire of his , but i do hope that he found some settling effect up north.
If there was one quality that Joey had that was absolutely undeniable , it was his honesty. The Joey that I knew was a man of his word. Even if his word was to mean spending time in jail. Joey was no stranger to the legal system, having spent 9 months in jail for G20 related charges . He was a cell mate of Byrone Sonne , that person who was aquited of explosives charges stemming from the G20. Joey once told me , that he had to go up to a Thunder Bay to serve out a local warrant against him. He was in Toronto when he shared this with me, free to go about his business , but he felt obligated to head up there to do what had to be done. While I don’t respect unlawful conduct, I do respect one who does the right thing and faces the proverbial music , even it is will most certainly result in more jail time, as it did for Joey .
The events of his death are likely still under investigation , however, from the man I knew, I cannot see him as one to take his own life. I can, however see him possibly intoxicated , climbed up a tower and accidentally fell . I have learned that there may be an actual video of the exact events that took place. I hope, out of respect for Joey, this video, if it indeed does exist, never surfaces publicly . I never have, never will support or endorse anarchy. Joey was an anarchists anarchist, as I stated above , however, he was that rare breed of anarchist who was also respectful to those, even his adversaries if he in turn was shown respect. So Joey, where ever you are, I hope you found the peace you had sought out. Thank you also for showing me the respect you yourself wanted shown to you . We were never going to agree on your tactics. but we did agree to respect each other. For that , I thank you . R.I.P Joel Bokhaut …………..
